I am currently touring shopping centres around the UK with Bearded Kitten, presenting an interactive promotions experience with a Fashion Circus theme, to promote a new app which allows shoppers to take a photo of a garment they like, and find similar items in their shopping centre of choice. The hashtag for the event is #ashoppingaffair, and I have been having a great time playing Silvia Strut, a catwalk model on stilts.

Leyla and I opened the Aalco Sales Awards dinner at the Westminster Park Plaza Hotel, with our sensual, high energy Aerial Sphere act.  Working with Black Fire Agency, FDG Creative and Bedrock Creative, we rigged our unique aerial sphere and two red silks for the circus themed event.

Following the meal, we closed the dining section of the awards evening with a ten minute long ambient silks set, before a live band played to guests on the dance floor.

I was extremely lucky to work with A Cherry On Top and the British Council last week, on a job in Jamaica. A Cherry On Top has some beautiful British themed stilt costumes, based on the Union Jack design, which are perfect for representing Great Britain.

Four of us travelled to Kingston to perform at the British High Commission's open day to celebrate ties between Jamaica and the UK.

As part of our trip we engaged in a cultural exchange with local stilt walkers, and spoke with Dr L'Antoinette Stines, creator of L'Antech - a modern contemporary Caribbean dance technique. Because we found this so interesting, we decided to buy tickets to a Jamaica Dance Umbrella performance, where we saw pieces by Dr L'Antoinette's company, L'Acadco, and other companies from Barbados and Jamaica.

Previous events I have worn these costumes for have been a trip to the British Embassy in Moscow, also with the British Council; the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, and the Diamond Jubile...

I have just spent a week in the beautiful grounds of Blenheim Palace, for the very first BBC Countryfile Live event. The long running television programme has 9 million viewers, and the live event drew crowds of tens of thousands to the Oxfordshire venue.

Cirque Bijou worked with the BBC to produce a 30 minute main arena show to take audiences through Britain's seasons and how they affect the countryside. Hosted by a farmer character, with beat boxer Grace Savage, the cast included aerialists, extreme mountain bikers dressed as a ram and ewe, Oxfordshire Young Farmers, actors, stilt walkers from The Dream Performance, BBC Countryfile presenters and a herd of sheep! The set included farm machinery, hay bales, beautiful backdrops of leaves and a cloud which produced rain over aerial acrobat Augusts' winter season straps act.

I was one of the four stilt walkers, performing choreography with the beautiful silk butterfly wings during the summer season, and with umbrellas during the winter sea...

The weather for the King George weekend at Ascot was a hot as in Ibiza. For the Saturday entertainment, a cocktail bar and white outdoor lounge area were set up by the events team at Ascot Racecourse, with Dj A-Roxx (Andy Critchlow) playing chillout music as guests took a break from watching the races.

I provided the aerial entertainment with four, twenty minute long sets of freestyle aerial silks dance to the Dj music throughout the day, in a white a multi-coloured Ibiza themed costume. The enquiry for the job came in on Monday night, and was confirmed on Thursday afternoon. I sourced and dressed a freestanding aerial rig, and really enjoyed making the structure become a part of area's the decor! I was able to erect this rig almost by myself, with three extra bodies helping for 10 minutes during the rig and de-rig of the structure. It stood at almost 6m height, and the space within the footprint was used by guests for dancing when I was not using the aerial silks.

This was a wonderful l...

On Friday I took the Ladies stilt costumes out for their first job of the summer. Cleaned and with some new extra feathers, they were fresh and ready for a sunny day in South London - perfect for a sophisticated circus theme.

Swamp Circus booked us for Broomwood Hall's School Sports Day, leading into their school fair, held on Trinity Fields. As the games ended, we blew bubbles and directed people to the hot food stalls. After lunch, we continued to blow bubbles so that children could try to catch them, and to "high five" little children with big jumps.

Event organiser and parent, Sara West, said of our Ladies stilt walking act,

"You were fantastic and absolutely got the festivities off to a flying start."

Sarah Smith, a mother of one of the students, said,

"You looked amazing and kids loved watching you both walk on stilts."

Impact Artists invited Starfiz to perform at the Celtic Manor in Wales, as the wow factor entertainment at a Roman themed charity ball for Alzheimer's Research. Leyla was away, so the talented Rebecca Rennison joined me for a synchronised silks act and a doubles hoop act.

Guest, Richie Jones, tweeted a little clip of our silks act... "How fab was this?" (click for link to Tweet).

Leyla and I travelled to the Echo Arena Liverpool with Livestock Productions, to bring some aerial glamour to the BBC Worldwide Showcase 2016.

For the final evening of the event, we performed freestyle aerial hoop as guests entered the drinks reception. Claudine from Livestock Productions paired us with the beautiful voice of singer Sewuese, and her band, to create a sultry 1920s mood where the entertainment worked as a whole to welcome to the guests into a scene from the twenties.

The BBC had created a "Redrum" club in the arena space, to reflect the collection of crime series on promotion. Set designers used red cloths, a stylish copper cocktail bar and animated picture frames to transform the venue into a more intimate space.

Leyla and I began our twenty minute long set with a feather and 1920s cigarette holder, posing on our aerial hoops and interacting with guests. After two songs, we dropped our props and began to improvise to Sewuese's music. The finale of the set was a fast s...

Leyla and I have just spent two weekends in the hometown of Scottish poet laureat, Robert Burns, joining "Scotland's sexiest cabaret" to celebrate the annual Big Burns Supper in Dumfries.

Electric Theatre Workshop programmed a fortnight of events in a beautiful Spiegeltent, with Starfiz performing in Le Haggis for adults, and Celtic Circus for children.

We opened the show with a sexy and powerful solo silks act to Nae Sleep.

In Celtic Circus, our Aerial Sphere act portrayed two girls climbing in tree, and our Spinning Silks act became part of a larger audience participation finale to "Somewhere Beyond the Sea", after directors saw our synchronised swimming silks performance at the Bentall Centre.

At the end of each show, the whole cast and audience joine...
