I was approached by Lock Studios to shoot an editorial for Die Dame magazine with Jo Metson Scott, and met a wonderful team of talented creatives and strong female models...including the world's oldest supermodel, Daphne Selfe! At the age of 91, Daphne casually showed me a Y-stand with no warm up.

I was really excited to work with Jo as her film photography is gorgeous. I was equally excited to work with Lock Studios as I had already been admiring their work on Instagram.

Leyla and I opened the Aalco Sales Awards dinner at the Westminster Park Plaza Hotel, with our sensual, high energy Aerial Sphere act.  Working with Black Fire Agency, FDG Creative and Bedrock Creative, we rigged our unique aerial sphere and two red silks for the circus themed event.

Following the meal, we closed the dining section of the awards evening with a ten minute long ambient silks set, before a live band played to guests on the dance floor.

I performed a bespoke aerial act as a character harnessing the ritual of light, at the Interiors House event for Italian designed chairs.

The event was curated by Hoxton Lab, with art director Erica Mainini directing the aerial performance as the focus of the event. Anna Walker made my bespoke white aerial costume. The room at The Worx Studios was decorated with chairs and art sculptures, with an emotive soundtrack and atmospheric lights, so that the ambience was more art exhibition than commercial event.

As well as the aerial performance, I moved around one of the installations for a short film to be edited after the live event.

I was booked through GS Live, and the event featured chairs by Crassevig, Frag and Moroso.

The weather for the King George weekend at Ascot was a hot as in Ibiza. For the Saturday entertainment, a cocktail bar and white outdoor lounge area were set up by the events team at Ascot Racecourse, with Dj A-Roxx (Andy Critchlow) playing chillout music as guests took a break from watching the races.

I provided the aerial entertainment with four, twenty minute long sets of freestyle aerial silks dance to the Dj music throughout the day, in a white a multi-coloured Ibiza themed costume. The enquiry for the job came in on Monday night, and was confirmed on Thursday afternoon. I sourced and dressed a freestanding aerial rig, and really enjoyed making the structure become a part of area's the decor! I was able to erect this rig almost by myself, with three extra bodies helping for 10 minutes during the rig and de-rig of the structure. It stood at almost 6m height, and the space within the footprint was used by guests for dancing when I was not using the aerial silks.

This was a wonderful l...

This weekend was the third annual arts festival at RHS Garden Wisley. I returned to the beautiful Glasshouse to perform aerial acrobatics, which is my favourite venue in Surrey. I rigged silks and a hoop with the help of the cherry picker which is used to tend to plants high in the greenhouse.

I performed four shows of eight minutes daily, each featuring an act on aerial hoop and on silks.

My costume was made by Loz at DesignGuise.

Last night, Desiree Kongerod and myself performed an ambient silks dance as guests entered the stunning Science Museum venue in London, for an evening of entertainment and dining. We accompanied the champagne reception, ahead of opening speeches, after which we returned to perform a tightly synchronised aerial dance to wow the guests. Choreographed by viva Aerial Dance, we were pleased that our diligent rehearsals paid off with a clean and fluid performance. Thanks to Ben Smith of Artful Rigging, for keeping us safe.

Impact Artists invited Starfiz to perform at the Celtic Manor in Wales, as the wow factor entertainment at a Roman themed charity ball for Alzheimer's Research. Leyla was away, so the talented Rebecca Rennison joined me for a synchronised silks act and a doubles hoop act.

Guest, Richie Jones, tweeted a little clip of our silks act... "How fab was this?" (click for link to Tweet).

Leyla and I have just spent two weekends in the hometown of Scottish poet laureat, Robert Burns, joining "Scotland's sexiest cabaret" to celebrate the annual Big Burns Supper in Dumfries.

Electric Theatre Workshop programmed a fortnight of events in a beautiful Spiegeltent, with Starfiz performing in Le Haggis for adults, and Celtic Circus for children.

We opened the show with a sexy and powerful solo silks act to Nae Sleep.

We performed a sensual version of our Spinning Silks act to the live trad band of talented Scottish musicians.

Our Aerial Sphere act was performed also to the live band.

In Celtic Circus, our Aerial Sphere act portrayed two girls climbing in tree, and our Spinning Silks act became part of a larger audience participation finale to "Somewhere Beyond the Sea", after directors saw our synchronised swimming silks performance at the Bentall Centre.

At the end of each show, the whole cast and audience joine...

Leyla and I spent much of the Christmas season under the starcloth of the Bloomsbury Big Top. Most nights we were performers in Cirque Extraordinaire - a dinner show with aerialists and acrobats from around the world. But one night we joined theatre company Les Enfants Terribles and band Tankus the Henge to create "Tonight at the Empire" - a theatrical circus show.

The talented Desiree Kongerod, who led 30 of us to Guiness World Record success earlier this year, led five of us to Norway yesterday to perform silks & stilt walking in a beautiful and unusual venue.

The multi-coloured silks and silver-white catsuits were rigged in a cave near Stavanger, where ProClub were celebrating successful members of Tata Communications, with a fairytale dinner and drinks.

We had lots of fun performing above guests, as we emerged from cocoons to perform aerial acrobatics at the start of the event.

The venue, Gloppehallen, was stunning and we enjoyed some delicious food during our fleeting stay. We hope that Desiree can take us back to her home country again soon, as the whole group of aerialist / stilt walkers fell in love with the lakes and mountains that we could see from our taxi.
