Brit Awards 2019 with Hugh Jackman

A circus dream came true - 31 aerial friends and myself opened the Brit Awards at the O2 with the man who definitely earned the title, "The Greatest Showman" - Hugh Jackman. I was one of the eight silks artists, with my sister, Maddy, on one of the giant chandeliers rigged by High Performance Productions. Circus consultancy was done by Roger Robinson of Acrobat Productions. To perform in the O2, rigged above Hugh Jackman, dancers, fire artists and trickers was an incredible a

1920s Starfiz Glamour at the BBC Worldwide Showcase

Leyla and I travelled to the Echo Arena Liverpool with Livestock Productions, to bring some aerial glamour to the BBC Worldwide Showcase 2016. For the final evening of the event, we performed freestyle aerial hoop as guests entered the drinks reception. Claudine from Livestock Productions paired us with the beautiful voice of singer Sewuese, and her band, to create a sultry 1920s mood where the entertainment worked as a whole to welcome to the guests into a scene from the twe

Science Museum Events Entertainment Last night aerialist Desiree and myself performed in the hugely fun venue, the Science Museum, for Viva Aerial Dance. The last time we were here was for the launch of the Who Am I exhibition, when we performed a silks act choreographed by Michele Laine to illustrate what the exhibition explored in epigenetics. This event was a corporate reception, so we performed freestyle ambient silks as guests entered the building, followed by a six minu

Silks in Stavanger with An Act Above

The talented Desiree Kongerod, who led 30 of us to Guiness World Record success earlier this year, led five of us to Norway yesterday to perform silks & stilt walking in a beautiful and unusual venue. The multi-coloured silks and silver-white catsuits were rigged in a cave near Stavanger, where ProClub were celebrating successful members of Tata Communications, with a fairytale dinner and drinks. We had lots of fun performing above guests, as we emerged from cocoons to perfor

    Pop-Up Aerial Acrobatics in Kingston-upon-Thames

Pop-Up or Swing-Out? Architects design clever aerial rig for Kingston Circus Suburbia returned to the outdoors once more to delight audiences with aerial and acrobatic cabarets in the heart of the London suburb, Kingston. We used the brand new aerial rig in a new pop-up performance space for the very first time, set just back from the riverside. A wonderful organisation called Community Brain, headed by Robin Hutchinson and Aniela Zaba, worked with the developers at Riverside
