A circus dream came true - 31 aerial friends and myself opened the Brit Awards at the O2 with the man who definitely earned the title, "The Greatest Showman" - Hugh Jackman. I was one of the eight silks artists, with my sister, Maddy, on one of the giant chandeliers rigged by High Performance Productions. Circus consultancy was done by Roger Robinson of Acrobat Productions. To perform in the O2, rigged above Hugh Jackman, dancers, fire artists and trickers was an incredible a
Leyla and I opened the Aalco Sales Awards dinner at the Westminster Park Plaza Hotel, with our sensual, high energy Aerial Sphere act. Working with Black Fire Agency, FDG Creative and Bedrock Creative, we rigged our unique aerial sphere and two red silks for the circus themed event. Following the meal, we closed the dining section of the awards evening with a ten minute long ambient silks set, before a live band played to guests on the dance floor. Our Sphere act, filmed by
Last week I returned to the Bridlington Spa - the theatre with the best sea views from the dressing rooms! This visit was with Leyla to perform our Starfiz Synchronised Silks duet act, at the DIVA dance competition's 10th anniversary. CWR Events put on a spectacular Greatest Showman themed finale, incorporating dancers, Billy George on cyr wheel, and Starfiz on silks. Leyla and I performed a silks act in gold catsuits, choreographed to become a part of the larger stage show.
I performed a bespoke aerial act as a character harnessing the ritual of light, at the Interiors House event for Italian designed chairs. The event was curated by Hoxton Lab, with art director Erica Mainini directing the aerial performance as the focus of the event. Anna Walker made my bespoke white aerial costume. The room at The Worx Studios was decorated with chairs and art sculptures, with an emotive soundtrack and atmospheric lights, so that the ambience was more art exh
Les Enfants Terribles transformed the Bournemouth International Centre into an immersive Alice in Wonderland world, for the vegan cosmetics brand LUSH's Spring 2016 conference party. Parts of the set from the Alice's Adventures Underground show at the Vaults in Waterloo were transported to Bournemouth for the corporate event with a difference. Guests chose "Drink Me" or "Eat Me" to determine which tunnel they passed through to enter Wonderland. One tunnel led guests past the
Science Museum Events Entertainment Last night aerialist Desiree and myself performed in the hugely fun venue, the Science Museum, for Viva Aerial Dance. The last time we were here was for the launch of the Who Am I exhibition, when we performed a silks act choreographed by Michele Laine to illustrate what the exhibition explored in epigenetics. This event was a corporate reception, so we performed freestyle ambient silks as guests entered the building, followed by a six minu
We did it! Today we made history - thirty aerialists performed a synchronised aerial silks act for five minutes! We were due to have up to five attempts at the routine which we have been tirelessly rehearsing, but managed to BREAK A WORLD RECORD on the first attempt. We now hold the Guiness World Record for most people performing aerial silks. It was an amazing feeling, being in the air with 29 of the top aerialists from around the world, all moving together on beautifully co
